If there was ever an all important outreach, it's Vacation Bible School!

Held once a year in mid-July, it is one of our 2 big(gest) outreaches. Last year's theme was the "Avalanche Ranch", the third in a series from Group Publishing. It was the best VBS we'd ever had. In 2008 we will do the next in the series: Power Lab.

JULY 21-25

If you have a child who is 3 years old up to having just completed 5th grade, we have a place for them.  There will not be a nursery available for anyone younger than 3.

VBS starts at 8:45 am with a lively time of praise, “showing off” the goals the kids met from the day before, and a very entertaining skit. Then on to Bible Adventures, Crafts and Missions, Games, and of course, Snacks. Those “test tube treats” are awesome and will reflect the object lesson of the day. (Not just cookies and Kool-aid either.)

On Friday evening, we have a short program to share the week with the parents and grandparents, followed by a special celebration in the Fellowship Hall. It’s always a big hit at Heart of God Fellowship!

For those who need transportation, we will be running the bus for Buckner and Odessa.  We MUST know about you on the weekend BEFORE the first day so we can work out a bus route. Please go to the website listed below to register and make sure to mention that you need it.  If you know someone who can’t use the internet, please be sure to get a registration form off the information table at either church. 

If you have kids, but you never went to VBS as a kid yourself, you missed out. Come help and experience a second childhood in the process!

This year, please take advantage of registration through the website listed above. We will print off forms for those folks who don’t have access but for those of you that do, we would appreciate you making use of it. It allows us to be more organized and prepared (we pray!!).
